The Club has been in existence since 1975, and provides for the interests of Railway Modellers in Stockport and surrounding areas. The Club is open to all, irrespective of ability and scale modelled.

Currently the club has 2 layouts.
1st Middleton Road an end to end 00 layout. The layout is set in the end of steam/early diesel era, and features a wide variety of operation including passenger, goods, parcels etc and ocasionally family freindly, kids favorite engines with names and faces.
2nd the in progress Harpur Hill layout. A 16x8 feet roundy roundy layout which has been started from scratch and progresses a bit further each week.

The Club meets every Wednesday evening in the 3rd Newton Scout Hut, Cartwright Street Newton, Hyde SK14 4FH. The meetings start at 7.30pm and end about 10pm. Visitors are always welcome. Click here for a map of the location.

From time to time other social events are organised; these have included a Gliding Evening, a day Long Canal Barge Trip and D.M.U. driving on the Llangollen Railway.
